It’s not often that we recommend spending your valuable free time going to an art museum. But when the art is by Keith Haring, this exhibit is one worth checking out.  The Brooklyn Museum, located in Prospect Park, is showing a large scale exhibition of one of our favorite artists.  Haring was greatly influenced by the graffiti in New York City in the 1980’s , the pop-art of Andy Warhol, and his devotion to numerous social causes.

Or if museums are not your thing, go check out the mural that Haring did in 1987 on the side of a house in Philadelphia at S.22nd and Ellsworth in Point Breeze. It is one of Haring’s few original public works that is still on display. Or locate his public NYC art works here.
